FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Real moments of personality, joy and connection. Genuine photography to document your beautiful mess just as it is right now, with laid back maternity, newborn and family photo sessions.

Family Photojournalism

Time is flying by, and this growing family of yours is constantly changing. Using natural light photography to document your family, we will capture authentic moments rather than perfect moments, to preserve your family's story.

Family photo sessions are completely customized to you and your family. Together we will choose a location that best suits your family, and ideally one that is meaningful to you. This often means the home, but can include another location too. Your session will focus on the natural, emotive connections your family shares and the big personalities within the family, with very minimal posing. Laid back time spent with your family while I tag along to document it.

At home or out and about, the best pictures happen when everyone is comfortable, without the pressure to perform or say cheese. Your gallery will be a mix of portraiture and documentary photography.

Maternity photo sessions are scheduled for between your 34th and 36th week of pregnancy. This session can be in your home or at an outdoor Atlanta location; your world is my studio, and I always prefer locations that have meaning to you. Maternity photography is about your growing family, so the whole family is welcome, including pets.

Newborn photo sessions take place in the comfort of your home, when your baby is between 1-4 weeks old. Everyone can relax, as this session is all about capturing the sweet moments and connections that happen naturally as your family welcomes a new member. Newborn sessions tell your story as it looks today, in the home you have created. Our session will be centered around connections rather than props, with a focus on your perfect little one just as she is. Siblings and pets are encouraged to participate, with zero pressure to perform.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”– Aaron Siskind

“Photography to me is catching a moment which is passing, and which is true.”
– Jacques-Henri Lartigue
