This quote speaks to me as a doula. The truth is that birth is a very important event for a mother and her partner. When a woman births her baby, or a partner witnesses the birth of her/his baby, they are forever changed. All aspects of their beings are affected.
I hope that as a doula I can guide families not only through the physical but also the mental and emotional aspects of their baby's birth. I hope that I can help make that change a positive one.
