This was a fun family photo session in a park near my client's home. We got a mix of sweet portraits and of great candid shots. The boys and even the dog were so sweet, and so cute!
Activities are great ways to keep everyone engaged, and to capture great authentic photographs. An activity that is special to this family is their love of the Seattle Seahawks, and for cheering them on. So once we had gotten lots of good shots in their "regular" clothes, we spent the last few minutes in Seahawks gear...The football apparel and playing at this session was genuinely fun for everyone, so those pictures are amazing.
As you can see from this session, I also welcome pets at sessions--they are part of the family too. And don't worry if you don't think your pet will "behave"...because we are not going for perfect!
I offer lifestyle family photo sessions in homes, as well as outdoor family photo sessions at Atlanta and Decatur parks. Parks are fun because there is plenty of room for kids to run and play, and we explore while getting great shots of everyone interacting. Plus it is fun to include the season that our session is in.
I'm always seeking authenticity in my photographs. Kids are constantly changing, so it's important to me to capture your family the way it is today--perfect in all of it's crazy mess. One of my favorite pictures ever taken of me and my kids is on my "about" page...It's me with my boys, one boy, the model, is posed and ever ready to take a fabulous photo, and the other boy is running away with a triumphant smile. It's a perfect picture, and I'm so glad I have it. It hangs on the wall in my kitchen and we still laugh about it years later.
