Atlanta Family Photography | Decatur

Our homes are such a huge part of our family story, which is why I love to include them in my family photo sessions. Our homes are where all of the tiny moments happen that make our families who we are. The house I grew up in still inhabits my dreams regularly.


Occasionally I am contacted by a Mother who wants to have a photo or family film made in honor of the home they are moving away from. Looking for a way to honor the place and also tell a piece of their story.


Recently I was asked to photograph a friend and her family as they said goodbye to their first home. It was a bitter sweet day; the beginning of a new adventure while at the same time leaving the place they brought their babies home to.


The house was pretty much packed up, which gave an interesting feel to our images. Enjoy a few of my favorites:
