Whenever I am discussing locations for a family photo session, I always try to figure out a place that has meaning for the family. I want to include the places that families spend time together, as that is so much of their story.
I was excited to hear that the Klausner family spends a lot of time at Arabia Mountain—a gorgeous park just outside of Atlanta.
The session was mainly about documenting sweet little Ruby’s first birthday, and we started our session out on the mountain. It was covered in these pretty yellow flowers, which made a beautiful place for her to toddle around and find rocks.
After exploring the mountain and getting some family portraits, we headed to the barn nearby to let Ruby and her big brother run and play some more.
We got some sweet family photos, but of course my favorite photos from the day were of the moments when nobody was paying attention to me. That’s when the candid and natural moments happened, like blowing the seeds off of a dandelion, and running to Mom's open arms.
