I was nervous about the Year in the Life project I've started for 2022. Excited and nervous, which maybe is the same thing...but the first month was amazing! I had so much fun getting to know some of the families I'll be working with this year, and documenting their beautiful lives.
There are two aspects of documentary family photography that I love. The first thing is that is so laid back-nobody has to act a certain way, and the family can just enjoy being together. The second thing I love is the honesty of the captured moments. It is real life, which includes tantrums and knee scrapes as well as the snuggles and laughter. Parenting is so hard and so amazing, every single day.
Year in the life includes an occasional documentary family photo session, and a keepsake photo album of favorites at the end of the year.
