Here’s How it Works

Booking is easy and completely online. Once you choose your session, you’ll pick a date, make your first payment, and you’re officially on the calendar.

And then? You don't have to do much. Nothing to clean, no outfits to coordinate. We're documenting your real life, so the whole point is to let it be real.

01 | Get on the Calendar

  • Choose the session that feels right for your family, then pick a date and time that works for you.

  • For newborn sessions, just choose a weekday morning around your estimated due date. Once your baby arrives, we'll check in and adjust the date if we need to.

  • Your first payment is due when you book, and your date is officially yours.

02 | We’ll Figure Out the Details

  • After you book, I'll send you a questionnaire so I can learn a little more about your family, along with a getting-ready guide with answers to the questions I get most often. But honestly, there's not much to prepare.

  • A few days before our session, I'll check in, and we'll make sure we're all on the same page.

  • If you’re booking a newborn session, just holler once your baby arrives, and we will confirm our date still works.

03 | Just Be Yourselves

This is the good part.

We'll spend the time together doing whatever makes sense for your family that day. Maybe that's breakfast, a trip to the park, wrestling in the living room, a birthday celebration, or absolutely nothing ‘special’ at all.

I'll follow your lead and make art out of your life, as chill or chaotic as it happens to be.

There is zero pressure for anyone to perform.

I'll take a few portraits, but most of your gallery will be candid photographs of the people you love doing the things that make up your actual life.

The longer we have together, the more time there is for everyone to relax and forget I'm there. That's usually when the really good stuff happens.

04 | Get Your Photos

  • Within a couple of weeks, you'll receive a slideshow of some of the highlights from our session.

  • Your final payment will be due at that point. Once it's paid, your full gallery will open immediately, with all of your high-resolution images ready to download, share, and print…And yes, there will probably be a lot of them.

    Not Sure Which Session Is Right for You?

    Here's my general rule: when in doubt, give us more time.

    A one-hour session can be wonderful, especially if there's something specific you want to document. Or if you mostly want the portraits. But documentary photography needs a little room to breathe. More time means we can move from one activity to another, go somewhere else, let everyone settle in, or simply see what happens next.

    You don't have to fill every minute. In fact, please don't. I'm there to photograph the moments in between, too.
