Documentary family photography is 100% real moments, nothing posed or forced. While I will be sure to get a few family portraits while I'm with you, the rest of the time I am just tagging along for your beautiful day.
I offer two lengths of documentary family photo sessions; a Slice of Life session is about 4 hours long, and a Day in the Life session is about 12 hours long, from breakfast to bedtime. I'm not shooting the whole time, and I sort of disappear into the background.
The best part of documentary sessions is just how laid back they are. Nobody has to do anything they don't want to do, because I'm there to capture your real life!
During our session we can go on adventures, or errands, or stay at home, or a little bit of it all! Maybe you want to capture a big event, and schedule it on the same day as your little one's first haircut or ballet recital...or maybe you want to remember your lazy Saturday mornings. It is all so beautiful, and I'd be honored to show you that through photography.
