I was honored to have a Hours Old session with this sweet family last week. They had welcomed their fourth child into the world the night before, and were glowing.
When I first arrived, Jaxon's Daddy gave him his first bath, at which point Jaxon took the opportunity to pee all over his Daddy's pants. I love that shot--Jaxon's Mamas laughing in the background plus the shock on his Daddy's face. It's not a picture of a "perfect" family, but it is authentic, which to me makes it perfect.
Towards the end of our session Grandma arrived with the other three children, and I watched as they nervously met their baby brother. Each sibling took a turn holding him, and they all couldn't stop staring! Adorable. And I can't help but imagine them looking at these pictures as adult siblings. What a gift.
A Hours Old session is a one hour daytime session before you are discharged from the hospital with your new baby, or soon after you arrive home. It's a newborn session that tells the story of your baby's first hours. I think it's fun to time the session to include other family members meeting your baby for the first time.

Once your baby is born we touch base and schedule our session. After our session I will get you a few "sneak peek" photos that you can post on social media to announce your child's arrival.
