My photography sessions include my client's home for a few reasons: everyone is comfortable at home, the moments captured are authentic and could be a sneak peek into the everyday life of the family, and I think that homes are special and should be documented.
This family is going to be moving out of their first home as a family. Dad did all of the beautiful tile work, and they put a lot of energy into making this home special. And now it is documented for sweet little Maya to see later.
And even if a family isn't moving, I like to document a baby's nursery. Soon enough it will be a big kid room, and all of the energy put into decorating the perfect nursery will be forgotten. This mama will be able to see these pictures and feel her snuggly baby, and remember all of the time spent reading books and holding her little girl.
Maya is one now, but I first met her as a newborn baby. I think it's so cool that I get to watch little ones grow up. I love my job!
