Atlanta Maternity Photographer
This adorable couple is expecting their first baby any day now, and I'm so glad we were able to squeeze in a pregnancy photo session. What fun!
We started our session at a nearby park for some outdoor shots, and then went back to their house. My favorites are the pictures that include their home and are a peek into their everyday lives...Their baby boy will be able to look at these photos and see his nursey long after the room has been redecorated.
I also love including things that are important to a family. At this session, the Dad's teacup has the words "we are pregnant" painted on the bottom, and this is how she told him the big news! That says so much to me about them, and I'm glad we were able to capture that!
I am looking forward to being this family's doula and newborn photographer as well...I get to support and document this incredible part of their journey together, and I'm honored to be trusted with the task!
Maternity sessions are best scheduled for your 37th week of pregnancy. I offer lifestyle photography sessions, which means I try to avoid cheesy over posed pictures, and include the whole family and your home. It is somewhere between photo-journalism and portraiture. This type of photography is so much more appealing to me because it is authentic. Pregnancy is a beautiful time, and it is beautiful in the clothing you wear everyday, in the home you have created for your family, doing the things you love to do!
I offer maternity sessions as an add-on to birth photography or a newborn session, as I find it a great way to get to know a family a little better before I join them in labor or when they have a newborn at home.
